Welcome to Oregon’s famous Rogue Valley.

Let me share my passion for the fish of the region and seducing them to a hand tied fly with you, as I have with friends, family, and clients from all over the world.

I want to get One day fly tying clinic’s started. These will be 1 day clinic’s from beginners to advanced.

1. Intro to fly tying, a 1 day clinic to see what fly tying is all about and how to get started (on the right foot) and what you need and what you can make on your own.

2. Beginning fly tying. this is a 5 week course ( one night a week or one Saturday a week) 2 class’s really.

As all of my class’s they don’t just cover wrapping material on a hook. You will learn what hook’s are for what type of fly, what material should be used, and what can be substituted, history, and so much more. The one day Intro clinic is recommended for these class’s.  These class’s will be held starting in Nov. (when the weather starts to suck and a hot cup of coffee and sitting at the vise more fun)

3. Tying Small. This will be a all day clinic on tying #18′s and smaller, These are not hard flys to tye and can be a lot of fun, (and very effective fly’s to fish)

4. Steelhead nymph. These are the fly’s I have used (and yes tweeked) to do the job I need on the river. Again covering more that just putting stuff on a hook, but why.

All material will be furnished for the class’s and clinic’s and a list of shop’s that carry all the tools and materials.  In the Intro, and beginning class’s all tools will be provided, with a more than one vice, and tools to try. Just because I like one type of vise or tool, that doesn’t mean it is right for you.
